Curriculum Vitae
Georgios K. Kazakos was born in Alexandroupolis, Thrace province, Greece after the Trojan War, specifically in 1956, graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1979, followed postgraduate studies at the City University of New York and was a scientific associate for a few years of the US Environmental Protection Agency.
He then trained and studied the technical and optical properties of glass in the United States and Canada and worked with some of the best of the genre. He returned to Greece and opened his workshop in 1991 in Athens.
He works closely with architects, designs and manufactures custom glass structures for specific spaces where the incoming light must be of a quality superior to the minimum required for the vision mechanism and to that which can be achieved by the mass-produced products of the glass industry. He uses different techniques and various materials with optical properties to meet the aesthetic demands and functional needs encountered in any project.
Each project is conceived as an idea and designed after prior knowledge and analysis of the client’s wishes and the conditions and reasons that created their need, while it must give the impression that it came out of the same.. egg as the building.
